The 15-year-old youth arrested on charges of raping a six-year-old girl in Kalyan.

The 15-year-old youth has been arrested by the Kolshewadi police on charges of raping a six-year-old girl in Kalyan. According to senior police inspector Balaji Fandhare of the Kolshewadi police, the victim child came to Kalyan city to study tuition with the boy’s sister.

On Monday, when the girl went for tuition, the accused allegedly raped the girl, taking advantage of no one present at home. The officer said that the victim’s girl later returned home crying and informed her parents, who lodged a police complaint against the accused.

According to police, the boy has been taken into custody by the police. A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code and related sections of the Poxo law. The accused was produced in court on Tuesday. The court ordered him to be kept in the correctional home.
