Maharera has issued notices to 197 developers in the state who published advertisements of housing projects without Maharera number. Out of these 90 developers have been heard and fined 18 lakh 30 thousand rupees. Of this, a fine of Rs.11 lakh 85 thousand was recovered.
The developers who have been served with notices include 52 developers in Mumbai region, 34 developers in Pune region and 4 developers in Nagpur region. Mumbai area includes developers from Mumbai city, Mumbai suburbs, Konkan, Thane. Hearing process of remaining 107 developers is going on.
Maharera has appealed that customers should invest only in Maharera registered projects.
