Stall of Maharashtra Films, Rangbhumi Corporation at Cannes International Film Festival

Cannes International Film Festival kicks off today in France. An attractive stall of the Maharashtra Film, Theater and Cultural Development Corporation has been set up on behalf of the Government of Maharashtra in the market section of the festival. Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murgan visited.
Murgan inspected the informative-attractively designed stalls about the schemes being implemented by the Corporation, the activities being carried out under the Corporation. He also learned about the various schemes and activities implemented by the Maharashtra government regarding film. At the same time, he wished the films sent for the market section.
Senior Film Critic Ashok Rane, Financial Advisor Finance Officer of the Corporation, Rajeev Rathod, representatives of films were present on this occasion.
The corporation has been participating in this festival since 2016 to give Marathi films an international platform. This year, the films selected for the market section of the festival are Sandeep Sawant’s “Ye Khojala Navacha Nai”, Sachin Mullemwar’s “Territory” and Mangesh Badar’s “Madar”. Representatives of all three films are present at Cannes. They will try to get the selected films to get global market and distribution of the films. Senior Director Dr. Jabbar Patel visited the corporation’s stall.
