A Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation official who went to demolish an unauthorized construction in Govandi was beaten up by a woman. Deonar police has registered a case and arrested the accused woman in this case.
Krishna Mhapanakar (49), an administrative officer in the M-East division office of the Municipal Corporation, was going along with a colleague and the complainant to demolish a flat in Chembur’s Vashi Naka area as per the order of the High Court. At that time, Fatima Shakeel Sheikh (36) stopped him. Also the accused lady Rubina Shaikh (23) who was present there tried to show them some documents in the mobile phone.
Mhapankar advised her to speak to senior officials about this. At that time accused Rubina hit Mhapankar below the ear. In this case, on the complaint of Mhapankar, the Deonar police registered a case for obstructing government work and assaulting a government employee.
