Usually 10 to 15 days before Bakri Eid festival, sellers enter the Deonar slaughterhouse with two to two and a half lakh goats, 12 to 15 thousand buffaloes. Customers also come here in large numbers these days. Therefore, CCTV will be installed.
The process of implementing the state-of-the-art system to be installed in the slaughterhouse with CCTV cameras will be done by the Mechanical and Electrical Department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. 12 pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras, 2 video walls, 5 LED screens will also be installed in it, said Chief Engineer of Mechanical and Electrical Department Krishna Perekar.
