India’s first double-decker air-conditioned ‘BEST’ bus in Mumbai
An air-conditioned double-decker bus from ‘BEST’ will soon be plying on Bandra-Kurla complex to Bandra station. This will be the first air-conditioned double-decker bus not only in Mumbai but also in the country.
This bus will have ‘CCTV’ cameras, special system for driver-carrier communication, automatic doors on both sides of the bus. The ticket for this bus will be Rs.6 for the first five kilometers.
This bus has received fitness certificate from Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) in Pune and is manufactured by ‘Switch’ company.
After 45 minutes of charging, this bus will be able to run up to 100 kilometers and it will take one hour of electricity minutes to charge the entire bus. The cost of the bus is around two crore rupees and the passenger capacity of the bus is 80.
