Mumbai, Dt. 26
An action force has been formed at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Administration level to reduce the increasing air pollution and dust in Mumbai. Three task forces, one each for three subjects, will be working in each division.
Air pollution in Mumbai has increased to a large extent since December and a seven-member committee was appointed on March 12 to take measures against it. The committee submitted its report to Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal at the end of March.
In order to reduce the amount of dust, the concerned departments should keep an eye on the factors and areas that generate dust, it was mentioned in this report and the commissioner ordered to implement the report from 1st April. However, such teams were not formed at the division level.
It has just begun.
