Traffic police have given permission to motorists to park their vehicles on both sides of the road from Lodha Palawa Chowk to Nilje Railway Station on even and odd dates. This scheme is being implemented on pilot basis.
Most of the working class people of Lodha Palava Home Complex, 27 villages on Shilphata Road go towards Panvel, Mumbai from Nilje Railway Station. These employees come to the railway station area on their two-wheelers and park their vehicles on the road.
Due to the parking of these vehicles in the railway station area and some heavy vehicles entering the area, there is a traffic jam. It has been decided to take the above measures to avoid this dilemma.
