The cleanliness work done by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, composting from waste through public participation, waste sorting, cleanliness maintained in the narrow streets of the settlement, environmental complementarity and beautification maintained were appreciated by the delegates from Gujarat today.

He took an oath of cleanliness and expressed his determination to set up works in Gujarat on the lines of those in Mumbai.
These representatives, who were impressed by the cleanliness work at various places in Mumbai under the Swachh Mumbai Prabodhan Mission of the Municipal Corporation, also honored the workers in Mumbai by awarding badges of honour.
Subhash Dalvi, Special Task Officer of Solid Waste Management Department of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and State Coordinator of Maharashtra Swachhath Abhiyan, Jignesh Patel, Manager of Swachhath Abhiyan in Gujarat State, Bhavna Mishra, Project Manager of Gujarat, women representatives of various NGOs and self-help groups from Gujarat State were present on this occasion.
The Swachha Yatra started from the All India Local Self-Government in Andheri West area. After that, Swachhta Yatra visited Ragdapada area in Kandivali West area under the jurisdiction of ‘R South’ Division. The representatives of the Swachhta Yatra visited the ‘Greenfield Rocks End’ near Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road in Andheri West, a housing society with 412 flats and around 1500 residents.
