Public awareness should be created about influenza disease – Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s suggestion

Influenza infection is a disease caused by a virus and prompt treatment helps to cure it quickly. Therefore, if symptoms occur, treatment should be started on time. And Chief Minister Eknath Shinde suggested that public awareness should be created to convey more information about this to the people.
A review meeting on newly emerging influenza infection H-3N-2 disease in the state was held at Vidhan Bhavan in the presence of Chief Minister. The Chief Minister was speaking in that meeting.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Public Health Minister Dr. Tanaji Sawant, Medical Education Minister Girish Mahajan, Brihanmumbai Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal, Medical Education Secretary Ashwini Joshi, Health Commissioner Dheeraj Kumar and other senior officials were present.
Patients affected by this infection should be treated immediately. It should be ensured that the drug stock required for this is sufficient. Also, Chief Minister Shinde said that the help of private hospitals should be taken so that there is no problem in the treatment due to the ongoing strike of the employees and if necessary, private contract employees should be appointed and the treatment work should be continued.
