Investigate the conspiracy to reserve railway tickets and sell them at higher rates – Ajit Pawar
Mumbai, Dt. 24
A large number of railway tickets are booked and sold by brokers at high rates when common passengers are going to their hometowns for festivals.
Ajit Pawar, the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly has demanded a thorough investigation into this conspiracy through a letter to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Bishnoi and Minister of State for Railways Raosaheb Danve.
Railway trains going to Konkan on the occasion of Ganeshotsav have already got waiting list boards. It has come to light that the waiting list of the Konkananya Express departing from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Terminus on September 15 has crossed thousands in just one and a half minutes.
Passengers who went to make reservations for September 16 are getting the message ‘regret’ in front of all the trains. Therefore, Pawar has said in this letter that there is scope to suspect that there may be irregularities in the reservation of railway trains going to Konkan during Ganeshotsav period.
In this letter, Pawar has also demanded to leave additional trains in Konkan during Ganeshotsav for the comfort of the laborers in Konkan.
