On March 15, the vehicle of former Thane corporator Kadam met with an accident in Morna area. At the time of the accident, he had an argument with the locals. Even after that, there was a dispute between the local villagers and Kadam after two or three days. Exasperated by this, Madan Kadam, a former corporator of Thane, opened fire in Morna area on Sunday night.
Two local persons died in this incident. Minister Shambhuraj Desai’s worker is among those killed in this incident. Due to this firing incident, there is an atmosphere of terror among the locals in Gureghar Dam area of Morna Valley. Although Madan Kadam and his two sons have been arrested in this case, Leader of Opposition Pawar demanded a thorough investigation into the matter in order to maintain law and order in the district.
