Dombivli: A book on Nani Palkhiwala get published by Shri Ajeya Gadkari, Honarable judge of Bombay High Court
The book Nani Palkhiwala Ek Sahrudai Susanskrut Vakil (Nani Palkhivala A kind hearted, cultured lawyer) written by Vijay Gokhale and published by Granthali Prakashan, was launched on Saturday February 8 at Brahmin Sabha, Dombivli East. Shri Ajeya Gadkari, Honarable judge of Bombay High Court was the chief guest.

On this occasion honarable Judge Ajeya Gadkari said that this book, which highlights various dimensions of Mr. Nani Palkhiwala’s personality, should be read by everyone.

Dr. Mrs. Shitala Gawand, Principal, Swami Vivekananda Law College Dombivli, Eminent Chartered Accountant Shri. Sanjeev Bramhe, Trustee of Granthali Shri. Sudesh Hinglaspurkar were also present as other guests of honour.

This is a biographical book describing Mr. Palkhivsal’s family background, his obsession of reading, his advocacy of the country, his association with Tata Group, his philosophy of life, his spiritual attitude, his philanthropy and his literary contribution. Honarable Justice Gadkari said that people of any age should read it and imbibe his virtues.

Mr. Brahme and Dr. Gawand spoke about Palkhiwala’s educational achievements, his legal acumen, his budget speeches and his philanthropy.

Those present on the occasion included Senior lawyer Shri Shrikant Gadkari, senior social worker who has been witness to Dombivli’s growth Shrikant Pavgi, senior social worker Bhalchandra Lohkare, Dr. Lalita Namjoshi, Shashikant Bhate, Dr. Petkar, Dr. Nikhil Satbhai, Shailesh Gupte of Rotary Club, environmentalist Varsha Shikhar, writer of saint literature Rajni Parchure, senior thinker Shrikant Kulkarni, architect Bhingarde and Mansi Madke.

Sudesh Hinglaspurkar of Granthali reviewed the fifty years of Grantali’s existence and gave information about upcoming programs and appealed to Dombivlikars to participate in it. Mr. Saurabh Sohoni moderated the program and proposed vote of thanks.
