Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s decision to build hostels for working women in Mumbai

Seven hostels will be constructed in Mumbai for working women, one in each circle of the Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation.

Construction of the first hostel for working women has started in the hilly area of Goregaon. A 16-storey building will be constructed at this place. 21 Crores have been allocated in the budget for the year 2023-24 to build all these hostels.

Women who come to Mumbai from outside Mumbai or foreign states for employment cannot find a place to stay in Mumbai or can not afford to pay house rent. These hostels will be built for such women.
