Mumbai, Dt. 1
Due to a controversial statement made by MP Sanjay Raut, the political atmosphere has been stirred up and Raut’s statement in the legislative session also caused repercussions. BJP MLA Atul Bhatkhalkar has written a letter to Assembly Speaker Adv.Rahul Narvekar and in this letter, Bhatkhalkar has demanded that a violation of rights should be filed against Raut.
Raut had made a controversial statement while talking to media representatives in Kolhapur that there is no legislature in the state, but a board of thieves.
Raut’s controversial statement caused a huge uproar in the Legislative Assembly today. Sanjay Raut has called the Legislature a Thief Board. Who gave them the right to call the legislature a thief? One’s political affiliation can be anything. BJP MLA Adv Ashish Shelar said that calling the legislature a thief is an insult to Maharashtra and it is treason to Maharashtra. Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar said that he agrees with Shelar’s opinion. Political differences need to be kept aside and this matter should be taken seriously. But did Sanjay Raut really speak? This also needs to be checked, he said.
Congress leader, MLA Balasaheb Thorat, BJP MLA Atul Bhatkhalkar and other members also expressed their views.
