Worker’s death after falling from the eighth floor of a building in Kandivali
MUMBAI: The shocking incident of a worker who fell from the eighth floor of a building in Kandivali on Monday morning (today) has happened. The incident took place in the KK compound area of Ganesh Nagar in Kandivali West. It is learned that the building was under construction by developer Ruparel Builder. The doctor was pronounced dead when the worker was taken to Centenary Hospital. The Kandivali police are investigating further. The name of the worker could not be ascertained due to the police not giving further details.

Meanwhile, local resident Amin Idreesi has alleged that the accident was due to negligence of the developer and the contractor. Earlier on March 29, a dog died in a lightning strike. Police and SRA officials did not take cognizance of the complaint made at that time. Then, in the same place, a 2-year-old boy, Aditya Singh, died in June after falling into the pit of a building under construction. At that time, the police had assured the locals that they would register a crime and investigate and prosecute the culprits. However, no action has been taken to this day, said Mumbai Youth Congress Secretary Deepak Yadav.
