Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted here on Thursday that due to the double engine government in the country and the state, Maharashtra and Mumbai are witnessing unprecedented development.
He was speaking at a meeting organized at Bandra Kurla Complex. Various development works were inaugurated by Modi.
Prime Minister Modi said that development works worth Rs 40,000 crore related to the development of Mumbai were inaugurated and Bhumi Pujan was done. It will also benefit Mumbai suburban services and rail connectivity in Maharashtra.
The twin-engine government of the country and of Maharashtra wants to give the common man the experience of the same modern facilities, cleanliness and pace of development.
Railway stations are also being developed like airports. Modi also said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, one of the oldest railway stations in the country, is also being redeveloped.
How much did the state develop during the Mahavikas Aghadi government? Everyone knows this. It is because of Modi’s leadership that we have got the opportunity to boost stalled works, speed up public works and rescue Mumbaikars who are suffocating in traffic.
When you see Modi, meet him. Then a holy feeling arises in my mind. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that there is something in his personality which energizes us.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, the people of Maharashtra elected the double engine government by trusting Prime Minister Modi. However, some people acted dishonestly. Therefore, the government of the people’s mind was not established for two and a half years.
However, Eknath Shinde, a true follower of Balasaheb Thackeray, took courage and with the blessings of Prime Minister Modi, once again a people’s government was established in Maharashtra.
