Theft in Mumbai train
An accused have been arrested in an for robbing women and men travelling by train. Both these activities have been done by the Bharinder team of the Railway Crime Branch, and during the investigation, goods worth Rs 2 lakh 11 thousand 893 have been seized.
This is how the thieft started
The train journey was definitely crowded. Taking advantage of this crowd, thieves have become active in looting. For the past few days, items were being stolen from the women’s reserve box. Not considering the matter, Mumbai Railway Police Commissioner Kaiser Khalid gave instructions to arrest the accused. Accordingly, all the teams of crime branch and Lohmarg police started searching for the accused. During the investigation, the Bharinder Crime Branch team received information about the female accused. Based on the information, the police laid a trap at Kandivali railway station. As soon as the accused Anita Gade (25) came there, the police detained her. When she was thoroughly interrogated, the crimes under Section 379 (G.R. No. 596/2022) and (G.R. No. 774/2022) filed in Borivali Lohmarg Police Station were solved.

Train thief jailed
After the arrest of the female accused, while the police were searching for the other accused, the police came to know about one more. Tracking that information, Bharinder police of crime branch laid a trap in Nalasopar railway station. As soon as the accused Akash Pasi (29) came there, the police found him smiling. 1 lakh 31 thousand cash was recovered from the items stolen from him during the investigation. This crime has come to light in Borivali Railway Police Station (G. R. No. 750/2022) as Pasi has come into the hands of the police.
