Buddha Purnima Festival in Bangkok by the United Nations

The United Nations has organized the Buddha Poornima Festival on June 1 and 2 in Bangkok. National President of Republican Party of India and Union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athawale will be present as Chief Guest in the festival.
The Buddha Poornima festival was first celebrated by the United Nations in the year 2001 at the United Nations headquarters in New York. After that Buddha Poornima is celebrated in various countries by the United Nations.
Athawale will present his thoughts on the topic ‘Wisdom in Buddhist Dhamma and combating global crises’.
