The trumpet of Gujarat assembly election has blown
Voting on 1st and 5th December, counting of votes on 8th December
New Delhi- The state of Gujarat, which is the ‘laboratory of Hindutva’ for the Bharatiya Janata Party, will vote on two days on December 1 and 5 and the counting of votes will be held on December 8.
The Central Election Commission announced the schedule for the Gujarat assembly elections in a press conference on Thursday.
4.9 crore voters will exercise their right to vote in Gujarat. Out of this 4.61 lakh youth voters and 3.24 lakh voters are going to vote for the first time
BJP has been in power in Gujarat for the last 25 years and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has held the post of Chief Minister of Gujarat for three consecutive times. So far in Gujarat, BJP vs Congress has been a similar match.
BJP will also have to fight with ‘AAP’ in this assembly election. The result of this election will affect the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
