State government’s new information technology policy to be submitted in next 15 days- Industries Minister Uday Samant

Industry Minister Uday Samant informed the Legislative Assembly today that the new information technology policy of the state government will be presented in the next 15 days.
Assembly members Prakash Abitkar, Sanjay Savkare proposed a half-hour discussion on setting up IT centers in small towns in the state under Maharashtra Assembly Rule 105. Samant was speaking while answering it.
It is envisaged that the new IT policy will create new employment opportunities. Although Maharashtra has introduced a new Information Technology Policy, Maharashtra does not yet have an Information Technology Hub (ITHub) policy. Samant also said that consideration will be given to setting up a new information technology center in Kolhapur.
