Seven-member committee set up to bring dust under control in Mumbai – ordered to submit report within seven days

A committee of seven members has been formed under the chairmanship of Additional Commissioner (Western Suburbs) Dr. Sanjiv Kumar to control the dust that causes pollution.
Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Iqbal Singh Chahal has ordered that this committee should submit a report within seven days and based on that, the implementation of these measures should be started immediately in the whole of Mumbai from April 1, 2023.
Chahal had called an urgent meeting on Sunday in the background of air pollution control in Mumbai, Mumbai beautification project and G20 summit meeting scheduled in Mumbai at the end of March 2023. Chahal gave this order at that time.
Additional Municipal Commissioner (City) Ashish Sharma, P. Velrasu (Project), Dr. Sanjeev Kumar (Western Suburbs), various Assistant Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Heads of Accounts participated.
Measures to control dust generated from various construction and development sites, method of implementing measures by intimation to all concerned stakeholders and strict action to be taken in case of violation of measures, rules and instructions have been established to submit report within seven days.
