Ordered food on zomato, fraud of 50 thousand

Pankaj Tiwari, a resident of Gandhari Royal Paradise in Kalyan West, got an expensive post from Zomato to order online food. He did not eat any food and he was consumed around Rs.127.

According to the information received, Tiwari had ordered food from this Zomato application on November 18 and made an online payment of Rs.127 in advance. Shortly after making the payment, a call came on Tiwari’s mobile. The person on the phone said he could not find the home address. Irritated that it was too late after giving the order, Tiwari asked to cancel the order and asked him to return his money.

The person talking on the phone from the front said that he asked him to pay Rs.5 GST, And from there he sent a link to mobile. By opening this link, Tiwari transferred 5 rupees of GST. Within a few hours, a total of Rs 49,160 was transferred from Tiwari’s bank accounts. Then he found out that he had been cheated online. Tiwari has lodged a complaint with the Khadakpada police station. Police have launched a further investigation by registering a case against an unknown accused.
