NRC is mischievous plan to divide India: Chidambaram

Congress leader P Chidambaram on Monday called the National Register of Citizens a “sinful and mischievous scheme” for the partition of the country.

Addressing a press conference, he also said that there is a world of difference between the 2010 National Population Register and the 2020 NPR.

The Congress leader told reporters that the 2020 NPR, with additional areas of information, is a disguised effort to carry out an exercise like Assam NRC across the country.
