Now Google’s Password Checkup will guard your data from data breaches
On Safer Internet Day, Google has rolled up sleeves against User’s data breach. Tech Gaint introduced a new Chrome extension called “Password Checkup”. Chrome extension that helps protect your accounts from third party data breaches, and a new feature called Cross Account Protection.
This new Chrome extension will automatically check the password when it will enter and check whether its data breach or not.
With this new introduction, the company aims to keep the Google Accounts safe by proactively detecting and responding to a security threat.
In an official blog post, Google said, “This will automatically reset the password of your Google Account if it may have been exposed in a third-party data breach as a security measure which reduces the risk of your account getting hacked”.
Further Company added, “We built Password Checkup so that no one, including Google, can learn your account details. To do this, we developed privacy protecting techniques with the help of Cryptography researchers at both Google and Stanford University. This is our first version of the Password Checkup and we will be refining in the coming months”.
Recently it was reported, Google has removed 29 beauty camera and camera filter apps from the Google play store.
