NCP will claim the post of Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Council?

Manisha Kayande, MLA of Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray’s Legislative Council, has joined the Shiv Sena. So now NCP is going to claim the post of Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly and the Ubhata Group is the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council.

Since Kayande gave away the Ubatha group, the strength of the Ubatha group in the Legislative Council has decreased. So, will the Nationalist Congress Party now claim the position of Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council?

Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Ajit Pawar was asked this question by media representatives, Pawar smiled and said, “Since you have brought it to our attention, we will definitely consider it.”

In the Legislative Council, the Ubatha group had ten MLAs, the Shinde group had one, and the Nationalist Congress Party had nine MLAs. Ambadas Danve of the Ubatha group is currently the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council.
