More than two lakh Mumbaikars benefited from ‘Apala Dawakhanya’
More than two lakh Mumbaikars have taken the benefit of ‘Bala Saheb Thackeray Aapla Dawakhana’ started by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
On the occasion of Balasaheb Thackeray’s death anniversary, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated ‘Balasaheb Thackeray Apala Dawakhana’.
The work is being done under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Dr. Iqbal Singh Chahal, Additional Municipal Commissioner (Western Suburbs) Dr. Sanjeev Kumar.
At present, ‘Apala Dawakhana’ is functioning at 66 places, and the target has been set to increase this number to 100 by January 26, said Executive Health Officer Dr. Given by (Mrs.) Mangala Gomare.
147 types of blood tests are provided free of charge at ‘Aapla Dawakhana’, including free medical check-up, medication, bandages for minor injuries.
Apart from this, relevant medical services are being made available at the rates of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation through panel diagnostic centers for tests like X-Ray, Sonography etc.
‘Aapla Dawakhana’ is open from 7 am to 2 pm and 3 pm to 10 pm.
