The scope of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana for free medical treatment in government hospitals has been extended. Now this limit has now been increased to five lakh rupees.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced this while presenting the state budget in the legislature today.
Citizens benefiting from the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Janarogya Yojana were getting free treatment up to Rs. Now this limit has now been increased to five lakh rupees.
This decision of the state government will greatly benefit the poor and lower middle class citizens who are totally dependent on government hospitals for medical treatment. So citizens can get free treatment up to five lakhs in a hospital in a financial year.
200 new hospitals have been included in the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Janarogya Yojana. This has led to an increase in hospital options for common citizens to seek treatment. Also, the benefit of kidney transplant surgeries has been increased from 2.50 lakhs to 4 lakhs. Apart from this, Devendra Fadnavis also announced that 700 Balasaheb Thackeray clinics will be opened across the state.
