Kalyan West Assembly: Triangular contest between Sachin Basare, Vishwanath Bhoir and Varun Patil

Kalyan- In Kalyan West Assembly constituency, there are signs of a triangular contest between Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena candidate Sachin Basare and Shinde Sena’s current MLA Vishwanath Bhoir and independent Varun Patil.

However, Kalyan West has a history so far that no MLA has been re-elected. After the formation of Kalyan West Assembly constituency, MNS’s Prakash Bhoir was the first to become MLA from here, after that BJP’s Narendra Pawar was elected.

For the third time, Vishwanath Bhoir of BJP and undivided Shiv Sena became MLA. All three times the equations have changed here. This time BJP has supported the Shinde faction of the divided Shiv Sena and the current MLA Vishwanath Bhoir is in the fray again.

Along with this, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena has fielded Sachin Basare, who is a non-addict and has good knowledge about the city and is the city chief. Sachin Basre, who was a corporator, has transformed the historic Kala Talav into a tourist spot in Kalyan.

Sachin Basre, who has earned a reputation as someone who remembers the history of Kalyan West by heart, has entered the fray for the first time in the assembly elections. Whereas Vishwanath Bhoir, who is contesting the assembly elections for the second time, seems to be falling short in the development work of Kalyan West.

Talking about the Charmkar Samaj of Kalyan West, this Samaj had put forward a proposal for the beautification of Sant Rohidas Chowk (near Gurudev Hotel) in front of Vishwanath Bhoir two years ago. This proposal is gathering dust in the basket of assurances.

The work of Smart City is going on at a slow pace. The problems of the citizens are not being paid attention to. These are the main reasons due to which the condition of Vishwanath Bhoir is getting worse this time. The people of Kalyan West have now started wanting change.

After the formation of this assembly constituency, one more thing has come to light that every time one or the other member of the main party rebels and spoils the game. For the first time when Raju Devlekar, the joint candidate of Shiv Sena and BJP, was in the fray, Mangesh Gaikar (BJP corporator) rebelled and spoiled the equation. Due to which Prakash Bhoir of MNS became MLA.

For the second time, Narendra Pawar of BJP became MLA and for the third time when this seat went to undivided Shiv Sena under the alliance, Narendra Pawar rebelled and contested as an independent. However, Pawar was defeated and Vishwanath Bhoir became MLA.

This time again there was a rebellion in BJP and BJP Mandal President Varun Patil rebelled and staked his claim as an independent. Varun Patil has his own influence and he also raises the issues of city development in a proper manner.

Apart from this, Narendra Pawar had also filed nomination as an independent but he withdrew his nomination. Now the main contest in this assembly constituency seems to be between Basare, Bhoir and Patil, which will show its form when the time comes.
