Kalyan Murbad railway line work in progress, know the stations of this route

The work of 28 km long Murbad-Kalyan railway line is in progress in Thane district. In a conversation with a media house, a senior railway official has informed that the land survey work of the railway line on this route has been completed recently in just 15 days.

According to him, in-principle approval for the construction of this railway line was given in 2016 during the regime of the then Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. And during that time route survey was done by the Railways from Ulhasnagar, Titwala and Murbad. But the project was closed for a long time due to unknown reasons.

After the formation of the government under the leadership of Eknath Shinde in the state in 2022, the same government had demanded the Narendra Modi government at the Center to resume the stalled work of the Kalyan Murwad railway line.

Which has got approval from the Central Government and Ministry of Railways. Along with the Centre, the Maharashtra government will also have to contribute 50 percent of the cost for the construction of this railway line.
