‘Jinki mehnat desh ka aadhaar, Unki pension ka sapna sakaar’.. PM-SYM launched in Gujarat..!
“NDA government has ensured affordable healthcare and insurance protection cover for the poor and labourers. We are committed for the empowerment of farmers and labourers while the only motto of opposition is to dislodge his government”, said PM Narendra Modi addressing the sea of masses at the launch of Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana at Vastral at Gujarat.
The national pension scheme for workers and labourers of unorganised sector was announced in the interim budget in February this year. It is expected to provide monthly pension of 3000 rupees to the employees of unorganised sector after 60 years of age.
Modi distributing the PM-SYM pension cards to select beneficiaries, he said that launching of Shram Yogi Man Dhan Yojana is the extension of various social security schemes implemented during the last five years. “42 crore workers from un-organised sectors are eligible for this pension scheme by contributing 55 rupees to 200 rupees monthly”, he added.

India has a rich history of societies rising to the occasion and taking the lead when it comes to solving the challenges every era has faced”, he added.
Referring to the world’s tallest statue of Sardar Patel- the Statue of Unity, the Prime Minister said that the leader like Sardar Patel should not be identified by community or caste as he is the tallest national leader of our country. He performed the Pranpratishtha of Annapurna Mata at the temple and also laid the foundation stone for Shikshan Bhavan and Vidhyarthi Bhavan. He urged the people of Gujarat to work on food processing saying such value addition will help both farmers and industries.
On the first day of his two day Gujarat tour yesterday, Modi launched various development projects including, first phase of Ahmedabad Metro Rail project, National Common Mobility Card- NCMC, the new 750 bed annexe of Guru Gobind Singh Hospital and unveiled various SAUNI projects.
