If we lose in the upcoming elections, democracy will disappear from the country – Uddhav Thackeray

Mumbai, Dt. 24
The time to come is elections. If we lose in the upcoming elections, democracy will disappear from the country. Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray said here today that we have come together to save democracy in the country.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and senior leaders of Aam Aadmi Party today met Uddhav Thackeray at ‘Matoshri’. Thackeray was speaking in the press conference held after that.

The Supreme Court passed a decision empowering the Delhi government to appoint and transfer chartered officers. This was a very important decision for democracy. However, the central government passed an ordinance against it. What kind of democracy is this? Uddhav Thackeray also raised such a question.

People of Delhi fought a great battle for their rights. Modi government took away our power by taking ordinances. After eight years of struggle, the Supreme Court ruled in our favour. But within eight days, the Modi government took away our rights by passing an ordinance. The decision to decree comes from ego. Arrogant and selfish person cannot run the country, said Kejriwal.

The ordinance passed by the central government against the Delhi government is wrong, anti-democratic and curtails the powers of the government elected by the people. BJP has majority in Lok Sabha. It will be approved there. But the opposition has a majority in the Rajya Sabha.

So we will get this ordinance withdrawn in the Rajya Sabha A few days ago, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav met Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar. Before that, Mamata Banerjee had come to meet Sharad Pawar.
