Dombivli, Dt. 8
The grand marathon organized by the Rotary Club of Dombivli West on Sunday received an overwhelming response from the people of Dombivli.
The competition started at 6:30 in the morning from the ground of Savalaram Sports Complex. Renowned runners along with ordinary citizens also participated in the competition.
In the prize distribution ceremony of the competition, the contestants who were successful in the marathon were felicitated. Dombivlikar Gajanan Mane, who was awarded ‘Padma Shri’, and Aarav Gole, aged 10, who swam the distance from Dharamtar to Gateway of India in eight hours and forty minutes, were felicitated.
