Fraud with women on Shaadi.com, police caught the accused from Kalyan

The accused who cheated divorced and widowed women through the social media site Shaadi.com was arrested by the Nalasopara police from Kalyan on Wednesday.

It has been revealed that the accused has cheated 20 to 25 divorced and widowed women so far.

According to the officials of Nalasopara police station, the accused Firoz Niaz Sheikh met the victim through the Shaadi.com website and married her by hiding the fact that he is married.

After this, he cheated the victim woman of Rs 6 lakh 50 thousand 790 to buy a laptop and a car and left her.

The police had registered a case in this matter and was searching for the accused. When the police got information that the accused was in Kalyan, the Nalasopara police laid a trap and arrested him on Wednesday.

The accused used to introduce himself to divorced women through the Shaadi.com website and used to get close to them by luring them or marrying them.

After this, he used to run away with all the gold, silver jewellery and money of the said woman. In this way he became expert in the art of deceiving women.

After the arrest of the accused, goods worth Rs. 3,21,490 were seized. This included women’s ATM card, cheque book, 6 mobile phones, 1 laptop, women’s PAN card, credit card, gold-silver jewellery.
