Encroachment of unauthorized mosques, dargahs, shrines, graveyards is ‘Land Jihad’ Proceedings of the symposium ‘Illegal Mazar in the Sea – Conspiracy to Islamize Mumbai’

Mumbai, Dt. 27
The encroachment of unauthorized mosques, dargahs, shrines and graveyards in many parts of the state including Mumbai is ‘Land Jihad’. Even though the present government has demolished the tomb of Afzal Khan at Pratapgarh, the leaders of all parties still have no mentality to break the encroachments in the state, asserted Umesh Gaikwad, former provincial organizer of Bajrang Dal.
He was speaking in a special dialogue on the topic of ‘Illegal shrines in the sea – Conspiracy for Islamization of Mumbai’?* organized by ‘Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’.
Despite the Supreme Court’s 2002 order to demolish two unauthorized mosques in Kurla (Mumbai), the mosques have not yet been demolished. Many such examples can be given. Gaikwad also said that if the legal fight continues continuously by creating widespread awareness in the society about the serious issue of encroachments, good results will surely come.
District Joint Minister of ‘Vishwa Hindu Parishad’, Advocate Santosh Dubey said that the construction of illegal shrines in the sea in Mumbai is a failure of the administration. This issue is not only for Mumbai but it is the issue of the country. It is underway at various locations across the country; But a special mechanism is working to support these encroachments. This system supports every wrong, anti-social and anti-law thing. Until the common man understands this system and opposes it, illegal encroachments will continue.
By taking possession of the government land and building shrines, dargahs etc., giving it a religious character, the feelings of the Muslim community are added to those structures. Then a settlement is established in the surrounding area. Systematically, this is going on in many places in the country and even in Uttan village, Bhayander (District Thane) an attempt has been made to create an unauthorized dargah on government land. The ruling party here has not done anything about demolishing this unauthorized dargah. Advocate Khush Khandelwal, founder of Hindu Task Force, said that we are fighting a legal battle for this.
Satish Kochrekar, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti said, strict action should be taken against the culprits by creating a corporation and laws regarding the cases of ‘Land Jihad’ in the country and also against the political leaders and officials who make ration cards for Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators. Two hundred mosques have been constructed in Malvani area of Malad, Mumbai. Hindus have migrated from there and Hindus should wake up and unite to fight against this.
