A shocking case has come to light that a senior citizen was brutally beaten up in a goods carriage between Kalyan to Titwala railway station and died on the spot. The dead passenger has been identified as Baban Hande – Deshmukh (65).
At Ambivali, Hande-Deshmukh had come to Kalyan on Thursday afternoon for some work. After finishing work, he was walking home from Kalyan railway station by Titwala local. As the ordinary coach was overcrowded, they boarded the local freight coach. While boarding the local, he was hit by a passenger. Baban also apologized then. But this passenger beat up Baban badly and he died in this beating.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in the Kalyan Lohmarg police station and the police have arrested a suspect.
