Complete the projects on time by removing obstacles in the work of National Highways, flyovers in the state – Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s order

These projects should be completed in a timely manner by removing the obstacles in the work of national highways, flyovers, roads which are ongoing and approved in the state. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde ordered here today that the forest department should take priority action for the repair works of the existing roads within the boundaries of the forests.
A review meeting regarding various road projects and new road projects in the state was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shinde and in the presence of Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Public Works Minister Ravindra Chavan, Chief Secretary Manoj Saunik along with Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries of various departments were present on the occasion.
Along with increasing urbanization, various projects of roads, highways and flyovers are underway through the National Highways Authority for increasing infrastructure facilities. At the same time, some proposed projects are pending for land acquisition as well as forest department approval. The Chief Minister also said that these projects, which are necessary for the development of Maharashtra, need to be speeded up immediately.
The central government has announced a policy to scrap vehicles older than 15 years. Accordingly, Union Minister Gadkari appealed to start scrapping units in every district in Maharashtra to scrap such vehicles. Gadkari also suggested starting at least 150 to 200 units, 4 in large and developed districts and 2 in small underdeveloped districts.
435 km long projects of 9 projects of four, six and eight-lane roads are proposed in Mumbai division through the National Highways Authority. These 5 elevated corridor projects are proposed namely 621 km long new greenfield expressway, 178 km long Talegaon, Chakan, Shirur, Pune Shirur, Ravet Narhe, Hadapsar Ravet, Dwarka Circle to Nashik Road Station.
Discussions were held regarding the development works of Kalamboli and six other junctions in Navi Mumbai International Airport area. At the same time, there was a discussion about acquisition of seven km of land for Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Marg.
