Ayodhya’s ‘Deepotsav’ to be grand this time, 1000 artists on chariots will narrate Ram Katha

On October 26, Ayodhya will celebrate one of the biggest festivals ‘Deepotsav’ where 1700 artists from all over the country and abroad will be fascinated by cultural performances of their own style. Out of these, 1 thousand artists will take the Shobha Yatra while performing the Ram Katha riding on chariots. According to Dr. YP Singh, director of the Ayodhya Research Institute, in this year’s Deepotsav, cultural parties have been selected for the purpose that when they go back to their state or country after joining the program, after experiencing Ayodhya and Deepotsav Promote That is why people have been selected from those areas who show a sense of affection for Shri Ram through their cultural programs.

Director Dr. Singh informed that Ramlila mandalis of Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Mauritius will also stage their own style Ramlila on 10 mini stages apart from Ram Ki Paadi, the main venue of the festival. Apart from this, there will be a program of about 32 cultural parties from different parts of the country. These programs, organized in conjunction with the Department of Culture, are intended to bring back a glimpse of the atmosphere of Tretayug in Ayodhya as it was when Prabhu Sri Rama returned to Ayodhya from Lanka.

The Deepotsav will be held in Ayodhya from October 24 to 26 and the previous year’s record will be broken by burning around four lakh lamps. Last year three lakh diyas were burnt along the Saryu River for about 45 minutes.

This event is important in terms of religious importance as well as tourism. The government believes that it creates huge tourism potential. The administration has made complete preparations for this event. 5001 diyas will be burnt every day for three days in the 13 major temples of Ayodhya. Apart from this, lamps will also be burnt in all 10 thousand temples and houses of the city. District administration, Ayodhya Municipal Corporation and large educational institutions of the city are included in this campaign.
