Whale vomit worth one and a half crore seized in Dombivli; Two youths of Ulhasnagar arrested
A special team of police has seized whale fish worth Rs 1 crore 60 lakh from Dombivli. Ramnagar police arrested two people who smuggled this vomit at midnight on Thursday. This action was taken on Thursday based on the secret information received by the special team of Kalyan Police Deputy Commissioner and Ramnagar Police. The names of the arrested accused are Nandu Rai (28), Arjun Nirmal (26). Both these accused are residents of Ulhasnagar. Some smugglers have been smuggling whale vomit for the past few years. Due to the income of crores from this smuggling, the youth of urban areas have entered into this illegal business. Whale vomit was used to make perfumes. Some professionals are using illegal vomit for this task. Since vomit can be used openly, vomit is smuggled secretly. Unemployed youth are mostly used for this work, said a police source. The special team of Kalyan Deputy Commissioner of Police received a secret information that some youths are coming to Bandish Hotel area in Savalaram Maharaj Sports Complex area near Gharda Circle in Dombivli East to sell whale vomit. As the two young men were looking for the customer much later, signaling to each other, a plainclothes policeman came forward and asked the young man what he was doing here, guessing that it was the accused. At that time he could not give a proper answer. He could not even give information about what was in the bag. As soon as the police gave a warning, the police, who had laid a trap, pounced on the two youths who were loitering and arrested them. When he was brought to the police station and interrogated, whale vomit worth Rs 1.6 crore was found in his bag. The police have registered a case against both of them. Where did this vomit come from? To whom it was to be sold. The police have started investigation in the direction of the mobile phone of both the youths and the contact number in it.
