A public toilet with various up-to-date facilities is going to be constructed near Virvani Industrial Estate on Western Expressway in Goregaon (East) area of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
The proposed toilet will have 5 toilets for men, 5 toilets for women and 1 toilet for disabled. In order to generate solar energy, a solar panel will be installed on the roof of this toilet and 20 kilowatts of electricity will be generated from this solar panel. The electricity generated will be given to the electricity supply company.
Separate toilet facilities for men, women and third castes, sanitary napkin vending machine in women’s toilets, separate room for breastfeeding babies, baby diaper changing area, drinking water facility, mobile charging station and ‘ATM’ with beverages will also be provided.
