‘One country, one uniform’ for the police! Prime Minister’s advice to all state governments

Surajkund (Haryana): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has suggested that the uniform of the police across the country should be One.
The Prime Minister was speaking at the ‘Chintan Camp’ organized by the Union Home Ministry.

If police uniforms across the country are One, demand will increase and better quality uniforms will be produced. Anywhere in the country the police can be identified by their uniform. Modi said that the states will be able to put the symbols of their own, No forces on it.

Modi also clarified that this is only a proposal for consideration and it is not binding on the states.

The Prime Minister also appealed to the Home Ministers of all the states that they should be prepared to fight the forces that turn the minds of the youth towards extremism and evil.
