A truck stalled near Nitin Company on the Mumbai-Nashik highway on Friday morning, leading to a traffic jam on the highway for two to two and a half hours. There were long queues of vehicles from Nitin Company to Airoli. The Mumbra bypass highway was closed, adding to the traffic jam.
Mumbai-Nashik highway passes through Thane city. This route is full of vehicles day and night. Working class vehicles ply this road in the morning and evening. Heavy traffic is plying on this route from 11 pm to 6 pm and 12 pm to 4 pm.
The traffic police started work to remove the truck with the help of crane. The truck was pulled aside after one to one and a half hours. After half an hour to one hour, the traffic on the highway gradually became smooth. The workers and drivers of Thane and Navi Mumbai cities were affected by this crisis.
