MAHARERA Decision : Cancellation of registration of 107 Maharera registered housing projects across the state

Maharera has decided to cancel the registration of 107 Maharera registered housing projects across the state.
The list of these projects has been published on the website of Maharera and a deadline of July 7 has been given for filing objections.
The deadline for filing objections regarding the old 88 projects has been changed from June 17 to July 7. Maharera has announced that objections can be registered till July 7 regarding the new 19 projects.
Maharera registration is mandatory for new housing projects. It is also mandatory for the developers to complete the project within the prescribed time. The RERA Act provides for deregistration of the project if the developer does not complete the project in time or the registration expires.
Now the Maharera through a circular on February 10 has decided to cancel the registration of the project which is impractical and can never be completed.
