Kalyan : Durgadi fort will be established as Naval Museum

Kalyan- The Smart City Company of Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation has started the process of setting up a naval museum along Durgadi Ulhas Bay.

The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation has given a spacious area of ​​the bay shore for the Naval Museum and the retired Vice Admiral of the Indian Navy S. V. Bhokare inspected the place on Thursday.

Shivaji Maharaj built the first armory at Durgadi in Kalyan. The plan for this museum is being prepared by the Navy Department. This 111 meter long museum shows how the Maratha armor changed from the 17th century to the 18th century. The naval history of India from the British Royal Navy to independent India will be presented in this museum. This history will be displayed through paintings, sculptures, artworks, movies.

Municipal Commissioner Dr. Bhausaheb Dangde, Chief Executive Officer of Smart City Company Prahlad Rode, Project Engineer Tarun Juneja etc were present.
