Jain society is a society that supports the happiness and sorrow of others and Jain society has helped the country in times of crisis. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde asserted here today that everyone knows his public welfare sentiment towards the society.
Rashtrasant Sri Nayapadmasagar Surishwarji Maharaj was conferred the title of Acharya Maha-Mahotsava today at Mahalakshmi Race Course in Mumbai. The Chief Minister was speaking at that time. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Guardian Minister of Mumbai Suburban District Mangalprabhat Lodha, former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev and a large number of saints and Jain brothers from home and abroad.
The state government has recently announced the state budget and in it the progress and upliftment of all the people has been considered. Shinde said that Go-Seva Commission has been established in this budget.
Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis said, though the title of Acharya conferred on Rashtrasant Nayapadmasagar is a penance. To become an Acharya one has to do tapas. Rashtrasant Nayapadmasagara is not just a saint but a thought. They are organizing the society and moving it forward.
