Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani donates 315 crores to ‘IIT’ Mumbai

Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani has donated Rs 315 crore ($38.5 million) to IIT Mumbai to build infrastructure and promote research in emerging fields.
Nilekani himself gave this information through a tweet. Director of IIT Mumbai Prof. Subhash Yadav and Nilekani signed the MoU in Bangalore.
Nilekani graduated from IIT Mumbai in 1973 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
This is the largest donation ever received by an alumnus of an IIT. Even before this, Nilekani had donated 85 crores to ‘IIT’ Mumbai.
