Passed a resolution to posthumously award Bharat Ratna to freedom fighter Savarkar

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was unanimously elected as the chief leader of Shiv Sena in a meeting of the Shiv Sena’s national executive on Tuesday.
The Central Election Commission gave Eknath Shinde’s faction the Shiv Sena party name and a bow and arrow symbol. After that, this meeting was organized in Mumbai.
After Eknath Shinde took control of the original Shiv Sena, the first meeting of the national executive of the Shiv Sena was held at the Taj Presidency. The meeting was attended by Shiv Sena leaders MP Gajanan Kirtikar, Ramdas Kadam, Prataprao Jadhav, Bharat Gogavle, Gulabrao Patil, along with Shiv Sena MLAs, MPs and senior leaders.
Shiv Sena leader Gajanan Kirtikar proposed a resolution to award Bharat Ratna posthumously to freedom hero Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and it was approved in this meeting. It was also decided in this meeting that the demand will be pursued at the Center under the leadership of Shiv Sena chief leader and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
The constitution of the Shiv Sena party was discussed on this occasion. Siddhesh Ramdas Kadam has been appointed as Shiv Sena Secretary. The party’s disciplinary committee was also constituted in the meeting. Minister Dada Bhuse was selected as the chairman of this committee.
