The Mumbai team of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested one accused with 1.5 kg hashish after conducting operations at Shilpata near Thane and Kharghar in Navi Mumbai. 40 lakh rupees in cash and 970 grams of gold have been seized in this operation.
NCB got information that M.Khan, a resident of Kharghar, was active in the sale of charas and was bringing drugs to Mumbai. It was learned that the accused had brought drugs and hid them in a shop in Kalyan, Shilpata. Accordingly, the godown along with two shops of Khan was searched. One kg of 100 grams of charas and seven lakh rupees in cash were seized from there. Khan was then detained. NCB immediately launched a search operation at his house in Kharghar. 70 grams of charas and cash of 33 lakh 45 thousand rupees and 970 grams of gold were seized from there. Investigation revealed that cash and gold were purchased from the sale of hashish.
