25% discount on metro travel for senior citizens, disabled and students from Maharashtra Day – Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced*

Mumbai, the 29th
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that senior citizens, disabled and students will be given 25 percent discount on Mumbai Metro travel from 1st May of course from Maharashtra Day.
This discount will be available on Mumbai-1 pass for 45 trips or 60 trips.
Earlier ST travel was free for senior citizens while women were also given 50% discount on ST buses.
This is a concession for senior citizens above 65 years, students studying up to class 12th and permanently disabled and some documents have to be submitted for this concession. This discount can be availed at any ticket window of metro line 2A and 7 on presentation of required documents.
New and previously purchased Mumbai-1 cards will also be discounted and will remain valid for 30 days. The Mumbai 1 card can be used and recharged during travel at retail stores, petrol pumps and BEST buses.
