Minor Found on Platform, Alertness Shown by TTE S.K. Sambare

Kalyan, September 13, 2025 – During routine ticket checking at Platform No. 4 of Kalyan Station, a minor boy, around 14 years of age, was found wandering alone. The boy was carrying a valid ticket (No. AFH09368800) for travel from Kalyan to Dahanu Road, but no guardian was accompanying him.

When questioned by TTE S.K. Sambare, the boy appeared nervous and was unable to give clear details about his parents, home address, or purpose of travel.

Considering the seriousness of the situation and giving top priority to the safety of the child, Sambare immediately acted and called the Child Helpline Desk, Kalyan, handing over the boy to their care.Railway officials stated that ensuring passenger safety, especially of children, is their prime responsibility. The prompt action taken by the staff prevented any possible risk and ensured the child’s safety.
